Rajasthan Camel

Rajasthan Camel Safari

Camel Safari as a mode of adventure is very popular in Rajasthan. The deserts of Rajasthan are vibrant and its people warm and friendly. The safaris usually pass through quaint little desert villages and hamlets and
embarking on a safari provides one with a lifetime's opportunity to explore the hiddencharms of some of India's most remote villages. You will not find these villages in any tourist brochures, but they are worth every penny you spend.

Camel Safaris are not meant for the faint hearted though. You need to be physically fit and capable of absorbing the scorching sun and the soaring daytime temperatures, which hovers around the 40 to 45 degree Celsius. And during the night the temperature again plummets to near zero degrees.

Camel Safaris in Rajasthan transports you away from the humdrum of city life to a whole new world of desolate landscape with not a soul to be seen.A typical Camel Safari in Rajasthan has specialist navigators who have years of experience under their belt and are very knowledgeable too. They not only guide you throughout your desert safari but also provide you with fascinating insight into the desert ecology,
the culture and colorful lifestyle of the nomadic desert tribal dwellers.

You travel in daytime, covering 40-45 kms every day and camp in the villages and small desert hamlets during the night. The camps have tented accommodation which are spacious. The food is hygienic which is prepared by an expert chef.Bonfires are lit up after dusk and enchanting folk musicians perform mesmerizing folk music and dance portraying the legends and myths of the deserts of Rajasthan.

The Bikaner region in Rajasthan is by far the most popular camel safari destination and camels abound in this part of Rajasthan. The rugged desert terrains and sand dunes of this part of Rajasthan have enchanted many a travelers by its stark beauty. In the past clients ranging from five to eighty five year old have embarked on camel safaris and many also happen to be repeatvisitors who want to try out something new.

Camel safaris are one of the best ways to explore the rustic desert from an elevated perspective and all you need to do is jump high into a comfy saddle for a ride into the mysterious deserts. Apart from the amazing landscape, you also get to sample the cultural diversity of the desert folks . The vast distances between each settlement mean that each settlement has its own cultural ethos and way of life all of which adds up to the incredible folk diversity.
