Hadimba Temple

The Hadimba temple or Hadimba mandir is devoted to Hadimba. According to Hindu legends, Hadimba was married to Bhima, the famous Pandava character in the epic of Mahabharata. Arjun Gufa

The Arjun Gufa lies at a distance of 15 km from the town of Manali. It is closely located to a village named Prini. As stated by a myth, Arjuna, one of the Pandava brothers, stayed here and exercised contemplation in this place for acquiring the mighty Pashupata Ashtra (a commanding weapon).

Jagatsukh

The distance of Jagatsukh from Manali is just 6 km. It is the biggest rural community in the district of Kullu. Lying on the riverbanks of Beas, it is home to a well-known temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. It was constructed in Shikhara pattern. Jagatsukh served as the earliest capital of Kullu for approximately ten coevals. The Devi Sharvati mandir is closely located.


Nehru Kund

The Nehru Kund lies on the Manali-Keylong Road and the distance from the town of Manali is six kilometers. The Kund derived its name from the name of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India. Nehru Kund is particularly noted for the freshwater spring, which originated from the Brhigu Lake.


Roerich Art Gallery

This art gallery in Naggar houses the paintings of Nicholas Roerich who came from Russia and stayed amid the picturesque mountains of the Himalayas following the famous October Revolution in 1917. Roerich was a talented artist and had the vision of uniting the world via artistic creations.


Naggar

Naggar is known for housing the Naggar Castle and the distance from Manali is 28 km. The castle has been converted into a heritage hotel.

Uruswati Himalayan Folk Art Museum

Uruswati Himalayan Folk Art Museum lies in Naggar, inside the compound of the Roerich Estate. The elevation is only 100 meters higher than the Nicholas K. Roerich Art Gallery. It was established by Nicholas and his wife in 1928.

Kothi

Kothi, a prominent tourist draw in the area, lies on the Lahaul-Spiti-Leh highway and the distance from Manali is just 12 km. Kothi acted as the campground for travelers while the travelers had to travel through the Rohtang Pass which has an elevation of around 3,978 meter. The adventure tourists can travel to Banjar and go angling the trouts in the scenic Tirthan river.
