Ajmer Sharif or Dargah Sharif
One of the most revered shrines of the country, the famous Ajmer Sharif Dargah or Dargah Sharif is among the most visited Sufi shrines of the country. Hazrat Moin- Ud – din chisti was the greatest of the saints who gave the message of God to people in the country. Lacs of devotees irrespective of caste, creed, color and faith visit this holy shrine in a year and the day of annual urs sees a great rush of the devotees from the different parts of the world. Enter the shrine from the famous Nizam gate and take the blessings of the legendary saint. Mughal emperor Shah Jahan built this gate. It is said that the great saint lived the life of a fakir and used one piece of cloth throughout life. When he passed away, the weight of the cloth had become much higher because of the patches.
