About

 History:-
The bridge of Pandupol is related to the Pandavas who spent part of their time in exile here incognito. At one place, there are two hills meet together. The way was obstructed which was broken upon by Bheem, the most powerful of the Pandavas with his Gada (mace). The result was a door like opening in the rock out of which flows a natural water stream. This beautiful scene and national spot has become all the more sacred and it is haunted by the Hanuman temple which is close by this water stream. It is said that the Hanuman temple was founded by Sant Nirbhaya Dassji Maharaj, who was a devotee of Lord Hanuman and hence in this thick forest, he founded this temple of Hanuman ji which has been now fully constructed and attracts thousands and thousands of people.
Situated midst the game century of Sariska, the place has special charm. On every Tuesday and Saturday, people visit the temple in great numbers because these two days are held sacred to Lord Hanumanji. .

They offer him bhog of Dal, Bati and Churma..
A trip through the sanctuary forest follows the trail of th Pandava brothers to a rock-wall through which the strong Bhim created a passage for their escape from the Kauravas. This forested glen has a narrow stream and deep waterholes. Temples here draw pilgrims round the year, though it is most popular during a September fair.
Religious aspects of temple:-

Bala Quila (Alwar Fort)

About

Almost every city or town in Rajasthan is blessed with a fort. So is Alwar. The huge Bala Quila, sitting high up on a 300m steep cliff, is what lends this ancient city much of its character. Though we do not know who built this forsaken fort, it has stood there watching over Alwar from even before the Mughals came into the scene. Which means that it was built before the 16th century. and we know this for sure because Babur (the first Mughal king in India) is known to have spent a night here. Not just that, he even took away the fabulous treasure that was kept here and gifted it to his son, Humayun. Later Jahangir had also stayed there for some time when he was packed off by his authoritarian father, Akbar. The place where he stayed came to be called Salim Mahal. (Jahangir was actually banished by Akbar because he tried to assassinate Abul Fazal, one of the nine jewels of his father's court). Bala Quila was finally taken over by Pratap Singh in 1775.

There are three different sections in the Alwar Government Museum and each of these sections is housed in a large hall.
Of these, the second section is considered to be the most important one. It contains precious Persian, Urdu, Arabic and Sanskrit manuscripts as well as some very beautiful paintings belonging to the Mughal and Rajput school of painting. As for example the Gulistan of S'adi (the Garden of roses), Bostan (the Garden of Spring) and Waqiat-e-Babri (Mughal Emperor Babar's autobiography) are some of the very rare Persian documents that are to be found here. And for the paintings, they are further sub divided into sub styles and are simply marvelous to look at. They date back to the 18th and 19th centuries and well reflect the artistic skills of the painters.
The first section of the Alwar Government Museum primarily includes archaeological finds. Exquisite sculptures and valuable inscriptions that throw a great deal of light on the history of this region are kept in this part of the museum. It was customary for the royal royalty in Rajasthan to go on shooting excursions and hunt wild animals. The former ruler of Alwar state was no exception and the skins of the lions, tigers and leopards he shot were later presented by him to the museum. It forms a sizeable portion of the collection.

This double-storeyed cenotaph stands on a platform of pillared red sandstone. The upper storey is in marble and has some splendid arches and unusually rounded roofs. The interiors have some great carvings, though most of the frescoes on the ceilings are not visible any more. And if you're lucky, you'll get a real visual treat – that of hundreds of peacocks and other colourful birds flapping around the place. Against the backdrop of the Aravallis, the entire complex looks grand.
Near the Chhatri's is a huge water kund (SAGAR). It was created in 1815 by Vinay Singh and is lined with steps on three sides like a baoli (stepwell). The desert kingdom of Rajasthan has many such tanks which served as community centres, and constructing them was considered an act of great generosity and benevolence. On the bank of the kund are several temples.
